Certificate in Business Management (KNEC)

Course Overview
This course is intended to introduce students to the basics of the activities associated with running a company, such as controlling, leading, monitoring, organizing, and planning. The course focuses on how a firm sets its direction, chooses its business activities, and establishes and defends its position in a competitive market. This course will introduce you to concepts and tools that will help you to develop an understanding of how strategies are formed and managed, and how competitive advantage might be created and sustained.

Course Structure
A minimum KCSE overall Grade of D (Plain) or equivalent is required to enroll in the program. The course consists of two (2) modules, each six (6) months long. Examinations are taken at the conclusion of every module. At the conclusion of the final module, students are required to complete three (3) months of industrial attachment.


Certificate in Human Resource Management (KNEC)

Course Overview
This is a cost-effective course that covers real life HR issues, including employment law, selecting qualified employees, compensation, the employee performance process. Students will learn essential skills to keep them on track with compliance issues. Upon graduation, students can enroll to continue with the Diploma program in HRM with credits given for some of the skills already learnt in the certificate program
